Xmas prezzies coming!

iPod, an Agent 18 case, 2 CD's from Amazon and an extra laptop battery coming in the mail for me!
Ok, the iPod came in today... still missing the other items. They will come sometime in the new year.

Tis the season

To be ice climbing. Today the I opened up the season with a great climb at Mt. Tranchant with some good friends. The ice was thin and very hard to read. It was sugary at some points and dead hard brittle at others. So brittle that when on my first route, I sunk my ice ax and a huge block of ice dinner plated right on my face. Yay for the 1 inch cut above my left eyebrow. Ow....
I got pictures, but I an't a posting them.

Christmas

Has come and gone. It sucks as usual.
I keep wondering if it will ever not be just another day.
Maybe...

Going on another trip

I redeemed some of my accumulated travel points today. I exchanged them against a plane ticket to Boston to visit my brother, round trip none the less. It took a lot more points than I anticipated, but a free trip is well worth it. I'll be leaving for the last weekend in January. My departure is on the Friday and I'll return on the Monday evening. I will write up a trip report on that long weekend. Yes, I know I still owe my Thailand trip report as of writing, but I am working on it. I don't know how many pages I've written, but it's over 52 thousand characters long and it will only get longer! This next trip report will be shorter and since I'll be traveling with my laptop, I'll be able to write it as I go along.

Busy weekend!

Well, sort of. I went gym climbing today. My first since I got back from Thailand. It was a painful event! I had not been so arm pumped in a long time and it just goes to show how badly my phisical shape is turning out to be.
I've started scanning my films last night. The whole process is taking quite a bit of time. I managed to scan and do the post-scan manipulation of one complete film just today. The picture in this post is just a sample of the images that I'll be posting soon.
Meanwhile, my trip report is slowly being typed up. It's quite tedious to write down every detail, or almost every detail. I'm not quite sure how good of a read will it be, but at least the effort will be there. Sorry it's been taking so long...

Snow!

We got blanketed with 30+ cm of fresh snow here in the city.
I had to go pick up my films in this weather.
Here is a pic:

Railay West

Here is one image from Thailand. I will receive some more next week, well, tomorrow actually but I have to scan negatives. Trip report is also coming soon... Get ready kids, it's going to be a long and boring one.
On to the picture!

Let it snow!

But at least let me wear proper footwear. My 5.10 Tennies with the super sticky C4 dot tread sole does absolutely nothing for traction in the snow. So little traction that I feel like I'm walking in a skating rink! To prove that, I took a huge wipe out as I was walking down a hill on the sidewalk on my way to drop off films at Corlab.
Here is a picture of what I face when I step outside:

office xmas party

It was amazing as always.
I probably have some good picutes but I'm too drunk to get the right now.
No big names showed up like last year but it was a blast.
Pictures on the way... I promise.
Also the Thailandtrip report is on the works. It will be a long read I promise that!
Night, I need to go to bed and I'm probably in shit because I got a coworker drunk, great he drinks and I get the shit for it. Go figure. I'll give him hell on monday.

** EDIT:
Ain't no way I'm posting pictures of this night.
